Business leaders, cyber security professionals, educators and public-sector stakeholders are all expected to attend the annual conference in Leicester.
The second East Midlands Cyber Summit will take place on Tuesday, 23 February 2027 at The Venue @ DMU in Western Boulevard.
Delivered by East Midlands Cyber Security Cluster (EMCSC) and De Montfort University Leicester, the Summit will build on the success of the inaugural event in February this year – which quickly sold out and was ultimately 58% oversubscribed.
Interest in the 2027 Summit has been strong from the outset, with the headline sponsor already secured and due to be announced within days.
Next year’s programme will focus on practical, proportionate cyber resilience – giving organisations useful insight into cyber risk, business continuity, workforce skills and digital security.
The first East Midlands Cyber Summit brought together businesses, cyber specialists, education providers and regional partners to discuss the practical steps organisations can take to strengthen cyber resilience.
Sessions explored leadership responsibility, incident planning, workforce awareness, supplier checks, secure backups and access controls, alongside wider conversations about business resilience, emerging threats and regional collaboration.
The programme combined specialist insight with real-world business experience. Keynote speaker Paul Abbott, former Group Director of KNP Logistics, shared his experience of the ransomware attack that forced the 158-year-old transport business into administration, underlining why cyber security must be treated as a business-wide priority.
Dr Ismini Vasileiou, founder of the East Midlands Cyber Summit and founder and director of EMCSC, said: “The response to the first East Midlands Cyber Summit showed us just how much demand there is for practical, relevant and accessible cyber-resilience support across the region.
“The 2027 Summit is going to be even bigger. We are building on the conversations, connections and momentum created in 2026, with an expanded opportunity for businesses, cyber specialists, educators and partners to come together to help organisations take practical action to manage cyber risk.
“Our aim is to ensure that delegates leave with useful knowledge, trusted connections and a clearer understanding of the next steps they can take within their own organisation.”
Interest in the 2027 Summit has been strong from the outset, with the headline sponsorship opportunity already secured.
Further sponsorship packages remain available for organisations that want to support the event and connect with the East Midlands’ business, technology and cyber-security community.
