EMCSC co-founder awarded Fellowship of Chartered Institute of Information Security

East Midlands Cyber Security Cluster co-founder Dr Ismini Vasileiou has been awarded Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISec).
Fellowship is the the highest level of recognition offered by the institute.
CIISec was the first cyber and information security institution to be granted Royal Charter status.
It is dedicated to continuously raising standards by providing a universally accepted focal point for the cyber and information security profession.
An independent not-for-profit body governed by its members, CIISec represents more than 35,000 individuals.
The Fellowship is in recognition of Dr Vasileiou’s ongoing commitment to advancing the field of cyber and information security.
As well as co-founding EMCSC, she is Associate Professor in Information Systems (FBCS, SFHEA) at De Montfort University Leicester.
Dr Vasileiou has extensive leadership experience in Computer Science and has led a range of prestigious institutional bids.
Her research interests include Social Engineering, Security Education, Learning Analytics and technology-supported learning.
She is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of IT.
“CIISec exists to promote, for the public benefit, the advancement of cyber and information security,” said Dr Vasileiou.
