This is the first year that the annual conference has opened up sponsorship.
And there’s been strong early interest in partnering with the regional cyber-resilience event following the success of last year’s inaugural Summit.
The event is run by the East Midlands Cyber Security Cluster (EMCSC) and De Montfort University.
The Summit, which will take place on Tuesday 23 February 2027 at The Venue @ DMU in Leicester, brings together business leaders, cyber-security professionals, educators, public-sector stakeholders and organisations from across the East Midlands.
The first East Midlands Cyber Summit took place this year, with a busy schedule of regional businesses, cyber specialists and partners sharing practical insight into cyber resilience, business continuity, workforce skills and digital security.
The 2026 event sold out and was ultimately 58% oversubscribed. It demonstrated strong demand for an accessible regional forum focused on helping organisations take practical and proportionate action on cyber risk.
The return of the Summit in 2027 will continue to focus on useful learning, knowledge exchange and connections that help organisations make cyber resilience part of everyday business decision-making.
Dr Ismini Vasileiou, founder of the East Midlands Cyber Summit and founder and director of EMCSC, said: “It is fantastic that the headline sponsorship has been secured so quickly after we announced the return of the East Midlands Cyber Summit.
“Government is taking Cyber seriously through its Industrial Strategy and the early interest we’ve seen shows the confidence that organisations have in the value of the event – and the importance they place on strengthening cyber resilience across our region.
“The response to the 2026 Summit made clear that businesses want practical guidance, trusted connections and opportunities to learn from others facing similar challenges.
“Securing our headline sponsor within 72 hours gives us a strong platform on which to build the 2027 event and continue bringing together the businesses, specialists, educators and partners who can turn that ambition into action.”
East Midlands Cyber Summit is designed to support organisations at different stages of their cyber-resilience journey.
It provides an opportunity for SMEs to gain relevant guidance on issues that affect business continuity, operations, people, technology and supply chains.
It also creates a space for cyber and technology organisations to contribute to regional knowledge exchange and engage with the businesses and partners shaping the East Midlands’ digital-security ecosystem.
The headline sponsor for 2027 will be unveiled in coming weeks.
EMCSC’s sponsorship pack remains available for organisations interested in supporting the East Midlands Cyber Summit 2027.
The pack outlines the available opportunities for organisations that want to be involved in an event focused on cyber resilience, workforce development and knowledge exchange across the East Midlands.
