East Midlands Cyber Security Cluster is a hub for digital security insight and expertise. We bring together business, academia, and cyber security experts to strengthen the region’s digital safety and innovation.

The business of cyber security
East Midlands Cyber Security Cluster is a Community Interest Company, our purpose being to enhance regional cyber defence awareness through three strategic pillars:
- Building a collaborative ecosystem
- Educating about cyber security
- Promoting cyber security skills as a career path.
Our work includes facilitating networking events, workshops, and seminars which stimulate information exchange and collaboration.
We also host the East Midlands Cyber Summit, which includes delegates from Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, and Northamptonshire.
By working closely with leading sector partners – including the Cyber Resilience Centre for the East Midlands, UK Cyber Cluster Collaboration (UKC3) and UK Cyber Security Council – we leverage our collective expertise to help build the region’s cyber defences.
What EMCSC does
Builds networks
We bring together SMEs, industry professionals, researchers, and Government officials to share latest knowledge and insights.
Develops skills
We signpost and guide on ways to enter and develop careers in the cyber security industry – helping to meet growing demand and keep our brightest prospects in the East Midlands region.
Organises events
We raise awareness of the need for all businesses, charities, and social entrepreneurs to understand cyber protection, digital security, and the risk of cyber attack.
Shares best practice
We educate across sectors, using our links with national cyber to provide up-to-date and trusted cyber knowledge support.
Your CyberLocal partner
EMCSC coordinates and delivers regional CyberLocal projects on behalf of InnovateUK and the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology.
Our programmes develop cyber resilience, skills, and innovation for East Midlands schools, businesses, and charities.
Through workshops, skills accelerators, and business-academic partnerships, EMCSC enables access to tailored support and a regional peer network.
We also host the East Midlands Cyber Summit, working with partners to increase regional visibility and impact that supports sustainable growth and long-term cyber security in our region.
